WHO IS BRISBON?

Brisbon Kofi is a London-based poet and creative writer originally from New York City. Since the start of his writing journey in 2015 he has written various pieces exploring themes from nature, the elements, love and loss, to themes of sexuality, gender, race, and modern-day Western culture. For UK Black History Month 2018 the online publication AZ Magazine featured his piece “Black”, an ode to black history and culture. In August 2020 he was featured in the Ogilvy digital campaign "This Is Me, This Is Home" for UK Black Pride's 15th Anniversary celebration. Brisbon Kofi continues to collaborate with other artists of various media to creatively express and further enrich his work.

THE HEALING SECTION

The Healing Section is the debut poetry collection from London-based poet Brisbon Kofi. It explores themes ranging from love, lust and loss to acceptance, deliverance and pride, all through the lens of a gay black man in today's society. Collaborations include music with Serjo De Lua (Keys of Moon Music here on Soundcloud) and speech with Taj Shareef.
